Subject: Shooting in the 1800 Block of Jackson St
OSHKOSH, WI (October 29th, 2025): The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at a business located in the 1800 block of Jackson Street in the City of Oshkosh.
On 10/29/2025 at approximately 1:50 AM, Officers from the Oshkosh Police Department were dispatched to a report of a shooting that had just occurred inside a business. It was reported that the shooting involved two employees currently working at that location and that the suspect fled on foot. Upon further investigation, Officers discovered that two employees had gotten into a verbal argument about work duties and that the suspect had a gun. At one point, the verbal argument turned physical, and during this physical disturbance, the victim was shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
Officers canvassed the area and located the suspect within fourteen minutes of being dispatched to the call. When the suspect was taken into custody, a loaded handgun was located in his possession. The suspect was identified as a 24-year-old male from Oshkosh who was taken into custody for Second Degree Reckless Injury, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Disorderly Conduct. This appears to be an isolated incident between two individuals who are known to each other.
