OSHKOSH, WI (February 28, 2026): The Oshkosh Police Department responded to a weapons incident that occurred in the area of the 400 block of S. Koeller Street in the City of Oshkosh.

On 2/28/2026 at approximately 6:40 AM, officers from the Oshkosh Police Department were dispatched to a weapons call in the 400 block of S. Koeller Street. Officers were advised that a 35-year-old adult male had been stabbed. Officers responded and provided medical treatment to the male victim until the Oshkosh Fire Department arrived. He was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Immediate investigation led to identifying the suspect and the vehicle he fled in. With the help from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the Neenah Police Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol, the vehicle was located north of the City of Oshkosh. After a brief pursuit the operator/suspect was taken into custody. Custody of the suspect was transferred to the Oshkosh Police Department. As a result of this investigation by Detectives and officers from the Oshkosh Police Department, the adult male who is 41 years old and from the Oshkosh area was taken to the Winnebago County Jail for Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and Domestic Disorderly Conduct. Other charges from other agencies are pending at this time.
