Subject: UPDATE: Suspect arrested - Shooting in the 2400 Blk of Blake
OSHKOSH, WI: On March 14, 2026, the Oshkosh Police Department arrested a 21-year-old Oshkosh man on five counts of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. Detectives and Officers continued the investigation into the shooting that occurred on the evening of March 13,
2026.
Using investigative technology, our police department identified the suspect vehicle involved in this incident. The suspect vehicle was located in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 400 block of Sullivan Street. Detectives observed the vehicle leave this location and eventually conducted a high-risk traffic stop on Highway 21 at Oakwood Road. The suspect and other persons of interest were taken into custody.
All parties were brought back to the Oshkosh Police Department for interviews. The other two persons of interest were eventually released.
A search warrant was conducted at the suspect’s apartment complex, where a handgun, believed to have been associated with the incident, was located inside.
This disturbance originated between two separate vehicles. One vehicle had five juveniles inside, and the other had one adult and two juveniles. The 21- year-old male suspect fired a round into the rear of the car containing the five juveniles and struck one in the arm. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. This appears to be an isolated incident.
The Oshkosh Police Department would like to thank our local businesses for providing surveillance video of the suspect and vehicle.
The Oshkosh Police Department would like to thank the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in stopping the suspect vehicle and suspect into custody.
The Oshkosh Police Department continues to work diligently to locate and apprehend dangerous individuals.
