OSHKOSH, WI (April 01, 2026):
The U.S. Marshals Service – Eastern Wisconsin Violent Offender Task Force, in partnership with the Oshkosh Police Department, executed a felony warrant arrest of two individuals in Oshkosh, Wis., the afternoon of April 01, 2026, in relation to a felony level incident involving weapons.
The Oshkosh Police Department was made aware that two individuals had been staying at locations within the City of Oshkosh for the past couple of nights. These individuals were wanted by another agency within the State of Wisconsin due to being involved in an incident that involved firearms.
Through surveillance capabilities, the two wanted subjects were tracked to the business of Wal-Mart in the City of Oshkosh. Once the individuals left the business, and before entering a vehicle, undercover and uniformed law enforcement officers executed a high-risk stop of the subjects. This resulted in two adult, non-residents of the City of Oshkosh and one adult resident of Oshkosh being detained without incident or injury to anyone involved or present.
The Oshkosh Police Department subsequently executed a search warrant at a residence in Oshkosh. Recovered during this search warrant were several firearms and illegal drugs that could potentially further the original investigation or bring criminal charges in Winnebago County. The two non-residents of the city were transported to the Winnebago County Jail, booked on their felony warrants. The one subject who was a resident of the city was also transported to the Winnebago County Jail, booked on a Department of Corrections Probation Violation Hold. This remains an ongoing investigation.
The presence of armed and wanted individuals poses a threat to the health, safety, and well-being of our residents. We will not tolerate the city being used as a safe haven for wanted individuals. We will continue to work tirelessly, utilizing all available resources to identify and apprehend those individuals who engage in these destructive behaviors. We stand united with our community in the fight against illegal activity, ensuring Oshkosh remains a safe place for all.
