Subject: VNU Arrests
Investigators from the Oshkosh Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit received information regarding contraband being brought into the Oshkosh Correctional Institution, located at 1730 W Snell Road in the City of Oshkosh. VNU Investigators initiated an investigation in conjunction with the Oshkosh Correctional Institution.
On 05/11/2026 at approximately 5:33 PM, Investigators made contact with a female inside OSCI. She was identified as a 24-year-old from Milwaukee who was attempting to visit an inmate. Investigators located two small balloons concealed on her person. Inside the balloons were suspected synthetic cannabinoids and Suboxone. She was referred to the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office for the charge of Delivering Articles to Inmate.
Investigators also made contact with a 25-year-old male from Milwaukee in the parking lot of OSCI. He was taken into custody and transported to jail for: Party to a Crime of Delivering Articles to Inmate, Felony Bail Jumping, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
We remain committed to protecting our community and supporting the safety and security of correctional facilities. Attempts to introduce illegal drugs into a prison endanger both staff and inmates. The Oshkosh Police Department will continue to work closely with our corrections partners and remain vigilant in our efforts to prevent illegal drugs from entering correctional facilities.
